Once Jesus told His disciples, Let's go to the other side. He and His disciples got on a ship. Then a great storm arose. The disciples we're frantic... fearful. They were in a panic when they woke up Jesus.
He asked, "Why are you fearful? You have little faith." He went to the edge of the boat spoke to the storm, "Peace be still." And there was a great calm upon the waters.
In life you face storms.... You don't know how you're going to pay your bills... How you're going to make today?
Your husband has quit on you... The wife no longer believes in you.. She doesn't trust you... Even your children look at you like a stranger.
Storms.
You just want... to do better... You want better. But it seems every time you take 1 step forward... You get knocked back 2 or 3.
So you've quit. You've given up.. You've decided that you can't fail if you never try.
You've convinced yourself... Believed this lie. But how has that worked for you?... What has it costed you?...
Storms.
Like Jesus stepping to the edge of the boat... You also have to step up to the storms in your life. Face your problems head on.
And speak to your storms as Jesus did,... "Peace be still."
Jesus Christ will calm the storms in your life. He will give you peace. He will bring you through to the other side.
The disciples were amazed that the winds and sea obeyed Jesus. But have faith in God.
You can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens you... At the name of Jesus every knee will bow in heaven and earth and things under the earth.
Your storm must bow to Jesus. This is why you can do all things through Jesus Christ... You are more than a conqueror.
The most important thing is... Remember Jesus Christ is on the boat with you. He promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He promised to be with you until the end of the age.
